WEEK 1 - Technical Skill and Extension Development

  • QB: Throwing mechanics and footwork. Development of quick game (3-step drop), 5-step drop

  • RB/WR: Foundational footwork and agility, pass catching skills, eye-hand coordination, adjusting to the ball, ball security, route running

  • DB/LB: Foundational footwork and agility, basic alignment and assignment, ball drills, man coverage techniques, understanding fundamentals of tackling

  • OL/DL: Proper stance and start, footwork and agility, pass rush and pass protection technique, base run blocking

  • LIFT: Increase and focus on muscle endurance

WEEK 2 - Refinement and Stabilization

  • QB: Refinement of mechanics and footwork, sprint-out and play action footwork

  • RB/WR: Utilizing hands/feet in releases from the line of scrimmage, utilizing waggle, fundamentals of blocking, understanding pre-snap reads

  • DB/LB: Refining footwork in coverage, understanding man and zone concepts, continued focus on tackling

  • OL/DL: Refining individual footwork in both run and pass game, combination blocks in the run game, reading and reacting to blocks

  • LIFT: Improve balance, movement, flexibility and core strength

WEEK 3 - Discipline and Post-Snap Play

  • QB: Understanding coverage/combination concepts and read progressions, half-field routes and reads (classroom breakdown)

  • RB/WR: Post-snap adjustments, combination/concept routes (classroom breakdown)

  • DB/LB: Post-snap route recognition (classroom breakdown)

  • OL/DL: Post-snap reactions, understanding zone and gap concepts (classroom breakdown)

  • LIFT: Build functional power and strength, learn injury prevention techniques

WEEK 4 - Advanced Technical Skill and Explosive Development

  • QB: Refinement of technical skills and drill work, understanding combination coverages, playbook breakdown, classroom skill analysis

  • RB/WR: Advanced technique footwork, beating man coverage, understanding how to beat zone coverage, playbook breakdown, classroom skill analysis

  • DB/LB: Refinement of technical skills and drill work, disguising coverages, playbook breakdown, classroom skill sessions

  • OL/DL: Refinement of technical skills and drill work, playbook breakdown, classroom skill analysis

  • LIFT: Improve and focus on speed and explosiveness
